Ready for more family hikes this summer? Local mom and outdoors writer Jamie Siebrase shares secrets for choosing perfect trails for your family, plus ideas for keeping kids engaged—and meltdown free!—from trailhead to summit and back. This interactive talk provides plenty of fodder to fuel a summer of unforgettable family adventures. Jamie Siebrase is a longtime Denver journalist, trained naturalist, and author of several guidebooks, including Hiking with Kids Colorado: 52 Great Hikes for Families and Exploring Colorado with Kids: 71 Field Trips + 142 Nature-Inspired Activities, as well as a children's picture book, Tonight! A Bedtime Book. Books will be sold at the event and may also be borrowed through DCL. ADULTS. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

In this interactive talk, local mom and outdoors writer Jamie Siebrase will discuss the concept of family field trips and share ideas and tips for planning experiential adventures in Colorado and beyond. You'll learn about the Front Range’s best nature centers, farms, outdoor history museums, art walks, open-air theaters, story walks, and more.
